Division instead reorganised with two Regiments of Jagers (I-III in each), Panzerjager Battalion with a Sturmgeschutz (Assault Gun) Battery, I Artillery Battalion from former Artillery Battalion and III Artillery Battalion from former Flak Battalion. |

This did not happen as Division was mauled during the retreat from Melitopol through the Nogai Steppe to the Dniepr. 10 Luftwaffe Jager Regiment & HQ & III/9 Luftwaffe Jager Battalions were disbanded. Flak Battalion (III) was renamed I/17 Flak Battalion. Only the remains of the Division were transfered to the Army. |
