Division reorganised as an Armoured Division in November 1942 but did not change it's designation. It remained designated 2 Australian Motor Division until it was disbanded in May 1943; its War Diary and documentation never refer to itself as 2 Australian Armoured Division. In spite of this, it is often called 2 Australian Armoured Division in the histories (Am not sure why). |
