22 Indian Infantry Brigade
Unit Notes
1 |
Some sources, i.e. Kempton and Perry, have this Brigade converting from 8 Indian Infantry Brigade in September 1940. However, 22 Indian Infantry Brigade is listed as a War-Raised formation in period documents which suggest it was not formed by a straight redesignation of 8 Indian Infantry Brigade. |

All three constituent Battalions were assigned to the Brigade on 25/09/1940 but all took some time to actually arrive at Baleili, near Quetta, where the Brigade was stationed from their current stations on the North West Frontier. |
